The
directors of the Hever Lakeside Theatre wish to thank their patrons
for their loyal support of the theatre over the past twenty-five
years. In return for an annual subscription, members of the Theatre
Patron Scheme enjoy advance information and priority booking for
the Summer Festival with numbers restricted to a maximum of 1000
to ensure that priority remains a priority! In 2007, several performances
were sold out before the box office opened to the general public.
Patrons are also entitled to an exclusive discounted ticket price,
free ticket exchange and receive an annual newsletter.
From the theatre’s
perspective, the subscriptions we receive from the patrons scheme
enable us to plan more effectively for the future and maintain
and improve the theatre facilities. The theatre is wholly independent
of Hever Castle to whom it has to pay a substantial fee each year
for the use of the site. Nor does it have any financial interest
in the catering facilities, the receipts from which go exclusively
to the Castle.
Moreover the
theatre does not receive any public grants or subsidies, so that
we must finance not only our production costs but also the theatre
infrastructure and facilities almost entirely from box office
receipts. That we have managed to do this successfully for the
past 24 years is in no small part due the loyalty and support
of our patrons, and for this our grateful thanks. |
